Why I am Running
I want to get Republicans elected to office. We need someone who will recruit good people to run for office in every race. I have the time and the desire to do this full time. If we press them in every race in the state, we will take the Democrats by storm in 2010.
After the 2008 State Convention, I took some time off. It was a nice break. I am anxious to get back into the swing of things but not in my professional capacity. I am running for Secretary of the Utah State Republican Party. If the state delegates elect me, I am putting my consulting business on hold for the next few years.
As I have watched the last few election cycles, of which I was a candidate in one of them, three things have stood out. First, we have done the same things for years. Second, we have given up on some areas, running no candidate or one with little drive to work. Third, we have let candidates die on the vine for lack of support, both financially and logistically.
We, Utah State Republican Party, need to address these issuses fast or we will loose our majority in the state. We need to take a New Direction with our organizations, fund raising and campaigning. We need to Recruit Good Candidates in every race, which are willing to roll up their sleeves and work hard. We need to Pull Up Our Bootstraps and provide more support to candidates. We need to Take Back Utah!
As Secretary of the Utah State Republican Party, I will spend my time traveling the state to help the County Parties indentify, recruit, train and find financial support for candidates. As this will take hard work and lots of time, I will treat Secretary as my Full Time Job taking on no clients or work during my term.
